The Curie Institute Research Center develop basic research and use this knowledge to improve the diagnosis, prognosis, and therapeutics of cancers as part of the continuum between basic research and innovation serving the patient.
Description of the project:
This position is funded by an ERC Synergy program entitled “Kill or Differentiate“ which gathers scientists at Harvard (P Kharchenkho), Karolinska (I Adameyko & S Schlisio) and Curie (I Janoueix & Olivier Delattre). The project aims to explore and compare pathways and cell trajectories in normal neural crest and tumor development with the goal to identify signals/pathways that may convert tumors to therapy-sensitive states. The project will take advantage of the variety of cell and mouse models that are available in the group to investigate the mechanisms of plasticity of neuroblastoma cells.
Candidate requirements (technical, language, skills …):
The successful candidate should demonstrate strong interest for interdisciplinary research and broad expertise in biology as genetics, single cell analysis, cell signalling or imaging. In addition, s/he should have excellent communication skills, be team players and have a strong affinity with working in an interdisciplinary and international research environment.
Experience level / degrees required:
Doctoral and/or postdoctoral experience.
Language: English required (oral and written skills) – French is optional
